Word Doodlepalooza is lucky to have some international input from sid.


Things coloured South African women think about

He was perfect really.

He was smart,




Her friends loved him

Thought he treated her well.

It’s just …


His hair

It reminded her of steel wool

The type her mom used to scrub the pots with

What if her kids inherited his hair?

She’d have to spend thousands of rands on hair irons.

Not to mention all her time.


No, it simply couldn’t work.
